Lawrence Brownlee and Michael Sypres, two exceptional tenors and Rossini specialists, share the stage at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées with Opéra Fuoco for an exceptional evening in the series of ‘Les Grandes Voix’. The program presents arias and duets, masterpieces from 19th century Italian and French bel canto repertoire,e including some musical rarities. After a first half of Rossini (excerpts from Barber of Seville andElisabetta, Regina d’Inghilterra, but also from Zelmira and Ricciardo e Zoraide), the singers will interpret some of the most beautiful arias of the repertoire, including a few essentials such as “Je crois entendre encore” (from Bizet’s Les Pêcheurs de perles) or "La dona è mobile” (from Verdi’s Rigoletto). Meyerbeer, Boieldieu and Adolphe Adam will rub shoulders with Verdi and Donizetti in this carefully curated program highlighting the virtuosity of the two most gifted American tenors of our time.
